About me
Jagdish Mitra is an entrepreneur focused on building the future of Generative AI services. With over 31 years of experience, he has held diverse leadership roles, notably at Tech Mahindra, served as Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Growth. He has also previously served as the CEO of CanvasM (a JV between Tech Mahindra and Motorola Inc, US). In these roles, he spearheaded large deals, global alliances, and expansion into new markets across North America, UK, Middle East, and Asia- Pacific.
In various roles in TechM as head of business for key markets such as North America , APAC and India and finally as Chief Strategy and Chief Growth officer of Tech Mahindra he has helped grow the business from 140 million USD to 7 billion USD. In his last role he was responsible for all large deals at Tech Mahindra and was the P&L head of the erstwhile Satyam business which was acquired by Tech Mahindra in 2009. In that capacity he grew the business from 2.8 Billion USD p.a. to 4 Billion USD p.a. This business contributed 4bn+ in the 7 Bn revenue of Tech Mahindra.
Jagdish's entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in his passion for innovation and growth having created a startup ( CanvasM)he has now launched HumanizeTech.ai. He is shaping the future of IT services leveraging AI by integrating automation and digital technologies with a strong focus on human acumen. His work focuses on creating impactful solutions for enterprises looking to leverage the power of AI and SAAS for business transformation.
Humanizetech.ai is a new age IT company wherein the software platform being built by the team will aim to reduce the time it takes to deploy software products such as SAP / Salesforce / ServiceNow. The platform being built will automate the whole journey of business requirements, system design and testing so that businesses can reduce the time of deployment by 30%. The platform uses Generative AI and specifically Agentic technology.
He has also been instrumental in shaping India's tech landscape through his roles on industry organisations and company boards.. He is currently on the board of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and advisory board of Gramax ( a cyber security company of GMR group) . He has been a two-time member of the NASSCOM Executive Council and three time Chair of the Science Technology and Innovation Council of FICCI. These positions allow him to contribute strategically to the Technology sector's global leadership and India's skills development agenda.
Jagdish’s leadership extends beyond the corporate world. He is actively involved in mentoring startups and advises MedTech startups at SINE, IIT Bombay. His mentorship is particularly in the B2B tech space. Jagdish is on the Board of Advisors of IIIT Himachal.
A sports enthusiast, Jagdish is passionate about football and squash, and his commitment to youth extends into philanthropy. He founded the Jishnu Football Foundation, which trains and offers scholarships to underprivileged kids.
Jagdish holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications from Birla Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Westminster, London.
